All abstracts must be written in the English Language.
The 36th WECOC 2024 welcomes abstracts in all areas applied with 3 categories: original research, meta-analysis/systematic review, and case report/series
Abstracts of literature review and evidence-based case report (EBCR) are not accepted.
The submitted abstract must fall into one of these categories:
a. Arrhythmia/Electrophysiology
b. Cardiac Prevention/Rehabilitation
c. ACS/Acute Cardiac Care
d. Echo/Imaging
e. Heart Failure/Pulmonary Hypertension
f. Vascular
g. Congenital Heart Disease
h. Hypertension, Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome, etc
i. Interventional Cardiology
Summary of Important Dates:
a. Open Submission: 1 August 2024
b. Close Submission: 6 September 2024
c. Review and Grading Score: 7-27 September 2024
d. Notification of Acceptance: 28 September 2024
Abstract Format and Guideline
Original research, Meta-analysis/Systematic review
The abstracts must be uploaded using an A4 paper size, in the format of Microsoft Word (.docx), font type: Times New Roman/Arial/Calibri 11pt.
Articles should use justify as the paragraph style (align left and right), be typed 1.5-spaced, and leave a 2.5-cm margin on all sides
The title and subtitle should be in bold.
The abstracts are not required to mention the authors’ names and affiliations
The abstracts should not be exceeded 300 words (excluding the title, authors, and affiliations)
A maximum of 1 figure OR table is allowed to be included in the articles (in the form of PNG, JPEG, or JPG).
The abstracts of the original article should be presented in structured abstract as below:
i. Introduction: rationale for the study
ii. Methods: a brief description of the study design and key methods
iii. Results: succinct presentation of key results; please include sample size throughout
iv. Conclusion: succinct statement of data interpretation
v. Keywords (no more than 5)
Case report/series

Moderated Poster Session
Technical Details
The presenters of the MP session should be registered as a participant and completed the payment in the 36th WECOC 2024 symposium and/or workshop. Otherwise, your paper cannot be presented in this meeting
Materials and the content of the presentation should be written and delivered in English
The presenters are not required to make an abstract poster, but instead please make short PowerPoint slides
Each presenter will be grouped into several sessions and must be present during his/her entire session
Failure to adhere to the given deadline and guidelines will automatically result in elimination
Failure to attend the session will automatically result in elimination. If the first author could not attend the session with justified reason, the co-author may present on behalf of first author
The presenters must stand by within 30 minutes before their assigned session starts
The maximum duration of the presentation is 6 minutes, followed by 4 minutes of discussion.
The link for the meeting, timetable, and order of presentation will be sent via Whatsapp application to the registered number or via e-mail
Further instruction will be floored in the Whatsapp Group
All winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony of the 36nd WECOC 2024.
The decision of the judges is final and cannot be contested

Please use the official 36th WECOC 2024 slide template which is attached together in the email
Presentation slides should be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, 2007, 2010, or 2023 (file format: .ppt or .pptx).
The maximum page of slides allowed is 4 (four).

Displayed Poster Session
Technical Details
The displayed poster participants should be registered as a participant and completed the payment in the 36th WECOC 2024 symposium and/or workshop. Otherwise, the poster cannot be displayed
Materials and the content of the poster should be written in English
Keep the title of the poster same as in the submitted abstract
The top of the poster should display the following information: title, name(s) of the author(s), and affiliation(s).
The poster contents for original research or meta-analysis/systematic review are as following: introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion
The poster contents for case report are as following: introduction, case illustration, discussion, conclusi
Keep the text easy to read and concise. Avoid the use of full sentences and rather use short text in bullet point format
The poster format is portrait, 120 cm x 80 cm, and minimal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels
All abstract submitters selected for “Displayed Poster” are required to bring their printed poster(s). The committee will assign and arrange the schedule for when you can display your poster in the designated poster hall
The decision of the committee is final and cannot be contested
